I'm back, sorry for being late :D

Yeah, I'm back. In these days, I had some spare time for ASuite Project.

Sourceforge
First of all, I disabled Tracker and Forums module in ASuite Page at Sourceforge. In the place of sourceforge's Tracker, I choose a more powerful issue tracking system: trac.

I choose Trac because it has got two very interesting and useful features: timeline and roadmap. From Trac's website:
Trac allows wiki markup in issue descriptions and commit messages, creating links and seamless references between bugs, tasks, changesets, files and wiki pages. A timeline shows all current and past project events in order, making the acquisition of an overview of the project and tracking progress very easy. The roadmap shows the road ahead, listing the upcoming milestones.

ASuite 1.x
I'm sorry, but ASuite 1.5.2 Beta is the last 1.x version. It is enough stable and I haven't time to continue this branch. I prefer to rewrite ASuite with a better code (classes, thread to speed up startup, new locale toolkit and etc...), but I have no objections if somebody wants to develop another ASuite 1.x from my sources (fork).

ASuite 2.0
In these days, I begain again ASuite 2.0's development. This is my progress in the last week (from 31/05 to today):

  • deleted advanced functions's code (for now useless)
  • updated my development environment (Delphi 2009+VirtualTreeview 4.8.5)
  • replaced TCoolTrayicon with Delphi's TTrayicon
  • replaced TNGImage with Delphi's TPNGImage (yes, alpha support compatibility) and removed jpeg support
  • replaced my Locale Toolkit with DXGetText

Moreover, I wrote a new ASuite 2.0 roadmap. You can see it here.

Some question on ASuite

Hi,

This is a very, very, very good product and timely especially when virus are abound on Windows and company are getting more strict with what you can and cannot install hence the rising in popularity of portable applications.

Anyway, I noted that that ASuite is the launcher used by Lupo Pensuite and LiberKey. Will you release a portable version of ASuite, i.e. non-beta of the latest version in the future.

Also, can you have the following enhancement in your next release:
- Support for animated GIF besides JPG for the image and to be able to change the location of the image.
- Option to have a panel in the bottom maybe to be able to run command line stuff, kinda like having Launchy or being able to do do Start-Run
