Yeah, I'm back. In these days, I had some spare time for ASuite Project.

Sourceforge
First of all, I disabled Tracker and Forums module in ASuite Page at Sourceforge. In the place of sourceforge's Tracker, I choose a more powerful issue tracking system: trac.

I choose Trac because it has got two very interesting and useful features: timeline and roadmap. From Trac's website:
Trac allows wiki markup in issue descriptions and commit messages, creating links and seamless references between bugs, tasks, changesets, files and wiki pages. A timeline shows all current and past project events in order, making the acquisition of an overview of the project and tracking progress very easy. The roadmap shows the road ahead, listing the upcoming milestones.

ASuite 1.x
I'm sorry, but ASuite 1.5.2 Beta is the last 1.x version. It is enough stable and I haven't time to continue this branch. I prefer to rewrite ASuite with a better code (classes, thread to speed up startup, new locale toolkit and etc...), but I have no objections if somebody wants to develop another ASuite 1.x from my sources (fork).

ASuite 2.0
In these days, I begain again ASuite 2.0's development. This is my progress in the last week (from 31/05 to today):

  • deleted advanced functions's code (for now useless)
  • updated my development environment (Delphi 2009+VirtualTreeview 4.8.5)
  • replaced TCoolTrayicon with Delphi's TTrayicon
  • replaced TNGImage with Delphi's TPNGImage (yes, alpha support compatibility) and removed jpeg support
  • replaced my Locale Toolkit with DXGetText

Moreover, I wrote a new ASuite 2.0 roadmap. You can see it here.

Hi everybody, the following is a summary of the information gathered about (sorry for late):

1. How did you find out about ASuite?

Question 1

2. What is the primary reason you downloaded ASuite?

Question 2

Hi everybody, I'm sorry, but the last months I haven't time for ASuite. Don't worry, I hope to dedicate time for ASuite in the immediate future. ASuite isn't dead! :)

ASuite Survey
Another good news, I maked an ASuite Survey. This survey is intended to help me prioritize potential features for next version and so make a new ASuite Roadmap.

This features list is based on the features of ASuite 1.5.2 and ASuite 2.0 (e.g. plugin system, better performance, multiuser) and some your tips (e.g some launcher options, regular expressions).

The survey ends on the 31th of January and the results will be available shortly thereafter. To take the survey now, click here.

Please take a couple of minutes of your time and help me make ASuite better. Thanks.
